  13. Take 2 cups water
  14. Prepare 4 tbsp oil
  15. Prepare chasew nuts for garnishing
  16. Prepare salt for taste

I use saffola oats and it works well, even quaker oats is good. Oats Idli, a quick and easy to prepare nutritious breakfast recipe, has similar taste and soft and spongy texture of instant rava idli.   1. Heat pan in low flame and roast 2 cup oats for 5 min or till it turns light brown cool and grind to fine powder. Now in a pan heat 2 tbsp of ghee and then add 2 tbsp of Urad dal, 2tbsp of chana dal, 1tsp of jeera, 1tsp of mustard seed and some curry leaves
  2. Now after the the mixer splutter add 1/2 cup sooji/rawa and fry till sooji becomes light brown in color into it add a pinch of Hing and chopped ginger (half inch)
  3. Fry well for 5 mins now add powder oats and half cup of vermicelli and 1 tbsp of oil mix well and fry for another 5 min.
  4. Off the gas transfer it to a mixing bowl and cool. After cooling add water 26 cups(batter should not be very thin). Add grated carrot,chopped corriander leaves, salt(as per taste). (you can take any vegetable of your choice) mix well and keep aside.
  5. Now add lemon juice 2 tsp. mix the batter well, Now take an idlli Steamer/ pressure cooker and brush the idlli moulds with ghee. Take a pressure cooker add 2 cups of water.put the batter into the moulds, above each batter put cashewnut and place the moulds rack inside the cooker.
  6. Low the flame remove the whistle of the cooker and cook the idllis for 8-10 min. Then take it out frm the cooker cool and remove idllis with the help of knife or spoon. and enjoy awesome and healthy oats idllis with your favourite chutney or sambar.
